This is a software solution that can record and manage employee attendance data and make payroll processing accurate.
TimeLive is an easy to use web-based time and attendance application. Employees clock in and out by simply clicking through the mouse. Once the data is captured, you could get information out in several ways. How many people are on the job, how many hours have been spent on the assigned tasks, etc. In general you are able to track regular hours, overtime hours, and flexitime hours at any time of the work day. Employees on leave, vacations, etc. can be simply accounted for. This open source tool lets you manage timesheet automation, billing automation, expense management, employee attendance automation, project management and task management. There are two versions of the program; a downloadable and a hosted (ASP) version. Both free for 5 users. These can be used for getting a feel of what this tool can do for you. If all your employees are available on one network, the downloadable version is for you, while the hosted version makes sense in a distributed set up.
For the expense management you can set up your own approval workflow, you do not need to fit into a given workflow. The tool will let you manage project, task completion and generally collaborate with your partners. Project manager types can get a complete view of activities. You get email alerts where appropriate. Project billing based on chargeable time and allowed expenses can be taken care of. While you can keep track of non billable as well as non-admissible expenses so that you know the exact expenses you are clocking up. Complete source code is available if you want to integrate this solution into an application of your own.
